Okay, so if you’re on part III, you’ve perfected your manuscript (or at the very least, you know you need to), you’ve gathered a list of targeted publications, and you’re itching to get your work out there. That’s awesome, but don’t blow it right at the finish line. You’ve got one more thing to get right.
I love reading Pierce Brown. A writer could learn a lot reading his work.
Golden Son is Book II of the Red Rising series and it is terrific. I don’t typically seek out a series to read, nor do I typically seek out Science Fiction. I rate it 24 out of a possible 25. (see My Book Reviews for rating explanation)
Every once in a while, I come across that rare book that totally absorbs me and the characters linger in my mind for days (sometimes weeks) after I finish it. I love those books and folks, let me tell you, A Head Full of Ghosts did just that.
I rate it 22 out of a possible 25. (see My Book Reviews for rating explanation)
I’ve never reviewed a book beyond general conversation with other readers. I love to read so my goal is simply to post my thoughts on whatever book I just read. Maybe this will help you in your search for a good story.
