Kate’s Lake

Alcoholic war veteran, Mick Smith, discovers what he believes is the fountain of youth but will soon learn the haunting truth about Kate’s Lake. Three years into sobriety, the untimely death of a fellow Marine sweeps Mick back into the sinful temptations he’s fought so hard to leave behind. Tormented by his hellish past, Mick must battle his own demons while seeking the truth about Kate’s Lake before it claims more innocent lives.

The healing water in Kate’s Lake has gone bad and it’s not until Mick’s grisly discovery that his world truly unravels.

Kate’s Lake is another outstanding novel by David Odle, this time in the horror genre, and there is so much to love about this book. The characters are compelling, the settings are wonderfully described, and the action is heart-thumping. Entwined throughout the plot are several moral dilemmas that force the protagonist down a treacherous path, often literally. To say this novel was hard to put down is an understatement.

“A fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat fantasy adventure that will pull you in, spin you around, and leave you wanting more.”
— Sublime Book Review

From Sublime book review:

Markus is an action-packed fantasy adventure that grabbed my interest from the first page. The unrelenting pace of the novel holds the reader’s interest throughout, but what makes this story stand out are the characters. The author does an excellent job of developing his characters to make them believable, interesting, and someone to whom we can feel connected. He has taken an old-world concept and incorporated it into a contemporary setting, and the result is exceptional.’
